When I was there, they had a tin shelter type thing beside of the runway. And that. Was. That. Seriously. Not kidding. I had forgotten about this til I saw the link on Drudge a few minutes ago.

The Heir to the Throne Jr has arrived weighing in at a whopping 5lbs 2oz, which is considerably larger than we were led to expect. So, we’re feeling quite a bit better than we were a few hours ago.
And – my mother got the news via text message. hahahaha. Kharma. I tell ya.
I am anxiously, very anxiously, awaiting news about my newest nephew – The Heir to the Throne JR and when 1:30 came and went and there was still no news, I sent my mom a text message.
I didn’t really think my mom DID text messages and was surprised when she texted me back really quickly with an answer. I sent another text… she didn’t reply. But then I got email from her.
My text messages were costing her .75 a shot. Oops. Are there really people who don’t have at least some free text messages on their plan? Apparently, there are. Who knew?
So now I’m back to waiting impatiently for the phone to ring – since I’m pretty sure nobody will text me the news.

I had no idea a book about prison life could be written without horrible gang rapes and bloody fight scenes. Hole in My Life was almost refreshing because of its lack of these types of scenes. Who knew it was possible? And who knew I’d appreciate it this much?
Good thing I do appreciate a “light touch” on a prison book because otherwise I’d have been pretty bored. I’m not sure most teens would sit through a non-fiction piece like this. I’m also not really sure why it was on the Printz short list. Because the ex con writer is the author of the Joey Pigza books? Whatever. I was pretty bored with it all.

And, I actually have the time (and energy) to tell you what I read. Let’s see…
Alanna got really serious about the topic of dream kitchens. I always expect great posts from her but this exceeded my expectations. It also made me realize I know absolutely nothing about what makes a dream kitchen.
I deli.cio.used the amazing Jory and her post about sexual harrassment but just in case some of you overlook deli.cio.us links. Click it and think about it and also talk about it.
Zan is a runner. If anyone says otherwise, they are wrong.
Rachelle blogged Poetry as Prayer and I think a lot of people overlooked the post. You shouldn’t.
I bet you have some questions for the universe, don’t you?
Last but not least, I am very surprised Karen was able to hold onto her fork. Very surprised. She’s a little stressed and that dude was just asking for it.

I love a good, cheesy, pulp fiction mystery – particularly after reading a really difficult book. Deadly Beloved fits the bill perfectly.
I’m tempted to see if I can track down a sample of the comic book series that Ms Tree came from. She’s ruthless, I like that in a female PI.
