What Would I Do Without My Awesome Library?

Seriously. What would I do? I cannot imagine what my life would be like if I didn’t have my library. I’ve read about 200 books already this year, from my library, and TW’s probably read twice that many. TW’s mom has probably also read twice that many. Yes, there was some crossover between the books I read and the books TW read but still… that’s hundreds and hundreds of books that we would never be able to afford to buy — even on Kindle.

I don’t know how people who don’t use their library manage. Do they really have that much money to spend on books? Or do they just not read? Both things kind of freak me out, ya know?

  1. I have no idea how people survive without a library card– and not just for the books but also for the magazines, movies, museum passes, music, ebooks and zines, the online courses, the programs. There’s a reason we call our library the best deal in town! And I feel even more fortunate that I work there, best career change ever. Thanks for saying…….we love people that check out stacks of books and make the library a destination and family affair.

  2. We also love the library. Since we are spending most of this year on the Texas coast (away from our home in Mississippi) we aren’t able to check out books from the local library because we aren’t residents of this county. But we go there to sit and read the books and magazines.

And I am continuously amazed in life by the amount of people who don’t read books. My family has always been a “book family” and I married into another book family so we are a lot of readers.
