My pal, a goddess of a woman, seems to be riled up about Maureen Dowd and her “female historians and novelists”. Monolithic? Come on, goddess. Some women, historians, novelists and others, have been proclaiming this notiion of a Merovingian line. It makes for a good story, just as good as any other story of Biblical nature.
