It wasn’t The Devil in the White City but The Swan Gondola was pretty darn good. Set during the Omaha World’s Fair, the characters were fascinating and the love story was compelling. I am not thrilled by Ferret and the sisters, really. That was just kind of clunky for me but not clunky enough to give up or dislike the book.
