The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girl Among Ghosts was fantastic. Family histories mingled with Chinese legends and superstitions. Mu Lan as she was meant to be and not the Disneyfied version. Awesome mix of real and fantasy and an interesting look at a Chinese-American girl growing up with ghosts – and finding her voice.
