First snack of Dewey’s Readathon

Or maybe normal people would consider it breakfast? Orange ginger muffin from TJ’s, it’s not ginger-y enough.

Started the book of poetry and am about to dive back into the newest Flavia De Luce book, must finish it soon – about 100 pages to go.

Pages read 45 minutes in – 12 (don’t judge, I was reading the blogs of those participating and leaving some comments.)

Let Dewey’s Readathon Begin

And, in honor of my 7:17 start time – I’m participating in the first mini challenge, which is a quick and easy meme:

What am I reading for the challenge? A lot of non-fiction and some Nancy Drews. (I’m trying to knock some books off of my Challenge lists and catch up on my TBR!)

Where am I reading from today – my bedroom, in Glenview IL. Though I may wander around a little if I get restless or Wilma the prairie dog needs attention.

Three facts about me? 1) I drink coffee all day long and well into the night, without it I would die. 2) I am a workaholic 3) I do not like surprises – good or bad – they’re all bad.

How many books do I have set aside for the challenge? 10 (and a half – I need to finish the book in progress that I didn’t finish yesterday.)

My goal for the readathon is to actually do it and not get distracted by work – or life.

I’m not a veteran, I’m a first time. But I’m heading into Mr Linky to quickly surf some tips now.

I’ve Joined Dewey’s Readathon

Yep. I did it. I finally talked myself into doing Dewey’s Readathon. Actually Sassymonkey talked me into it. I’m going to stay in bed, all day Saturday, and read and read and read. Here’s what I think I’m going to have next to the bed to read:

Everyday is a Good Day (in tribute to Wilma Mankiller) – on the iPad!

Four Nancy Drews

The Madame Curie Complex

Amulet – The Stonekeeper (graphic novel)

7 poets, 4 days, 1 book (for Poetry month)

The Missing Ink

How much will I manage? And want to join? You can sign up to be a cheerleader too, if you prefer.
