101 Things Update

I think this is the latest I’ve ever been with the 101 things update. That doesn’t mean I’m losing interest, it means my life is crazy!

* A coffee with Leona, finally!
* More money saved, surprisingly!!
* A college visit in the can!
* Didn’t I read a classic? I thought I did but if I did, I am not seeing it on my list. Weird. Almost finished with another audio book but it’s very boring so it’s taking a very long time to get through.
*I have had NO time to fiddle with blogrolls or bookmarks/spurls. I really have to do a better job with that in April.

101 Things Update

Another month slips away without much to show for it – at least from the 101 things perspective.  On other fronts, it’s been quite busy – and almost productive.

Another book on cd, which I just realized I never blogged.  Someone remind me to do that tomorrow!

I did clean out my feeds but I’m avoiding the blogroll update this month because blogrolls as we know them will change next month.  Total waste of time to do it today.

I TRIED to clean my spurls but that was a no-go due to spam bots hitting spurl.    Bookmarks are going to be saved til next month when I have a nice new tablet to install them on.  Yes you heard me right, I said TABLET!  Heh.

I did download new music.  I can’t actually remember who I downloaded but she’s awesome and I’ll blog about her the next time I open up Napster or sync my iRiver.

I thought we were going to the ballet but instead we went to see a play.

I think I’m adjusting the Starbucks thing  – we haven’t gone a FULL two weeks without Starbucks but we have skipped 14 days in January.  Actually we’ve skipped more than 21 days in January – and no we didn’t replace it with another coffee house visit.  We’re boycotting!

I’ve convinced Michelle to look at one college that wasn’t on her list and we’ll be at the preview event next month.  Yea!

There you have it – another month, another couple of things scratched off.  Life.

101 Things Update

Well, it’s been a year since I started the 101 things in 1001 days list and I’m happy to say I’ve kept up with it.  I haven’t always made a lot of progress but I have definitely made progress.  We’re getting down to the tougher things on the list though so who knows how successful I will be in 2007.  It’s been interesting to look at the list every month and see things that I realize now were ridiculous to put on the list and think of other things that I wish I had put on the list.

In December, I was able to mark off the Christmas cards and the birthday cards and that was good.  I am horrible about sending such things but I did it and people were happy that I did.  I’m hoping I can keep it up next year.

More music was downloaded.  More bookmark cleaning and blogroll updating (I still want a better blogroll system and hopefully in 2007, I’ll come up with that).  Not having a working dryer this month made putting the laundry away immediately so much easier.   I’m tempted to not go further in debt for another dryer and just keep going to the laundromat every week just because it was nice to not have clothes folded up at the foot of the bed or piled on the dresser waiting to be put away.  On second thought, no, the laundromat is already tiring and I don’t think I can stand much more of it.  Heh.

Here’s to scratching off another dozen things from my list in 2007, do you think I can manage it?

Daily Dose of Life – 101 Update

November was the best month EVER for this 101 things list.  No I haven’t managed anything as excellent as drinking Vos water.  We haven’t bought a whaley boy car or the perfect house (though we are actually LOOKING for the perfect house, which is sort of a step in the right direction).  No traveling was done at all and I spent absolutely no "mommy & me" time with anyone.

I did boring things like clean out my blogroll, clean out my spurls and my bookmarks.  I read a ton of non-fiction (have I mentioned I read a lot more non-fiction than I originally thought?) and I sent more birthday cards.

Sounds like a boring month for the 101 things list, doesn’t it?  Well that’s because you aren’t aware of the BEST thing EVER.

Christopher’s dead white Toyota – is GONE from our driveway.  Gone. For. Good.  Donated to charity.  Amazing.  If I can magic that car away, then I can do ANYTHING! EVERYTHING! The sky! It is the limit!

I love November.

Daily Dose of Life – 101 Update

Yea I know, I said I was ditching the daily dose BS but old habits are hard to break and I didn’t feel like going up there and backspacing.  I’m lazy that way.  Besides, this is a SERIES and breaking with tradition now seems wrong.  (Are you buying that?)

I managed to scratch off several items this month, a couple of which I was surprised about.

I had no idea it was so easy to read Non-fiction.  This is making me wonder if I’ve always read this much non-fic or if I’m suddenly reading more.  I knew I should have been book blogging all along.  Ah well, live and learn.

Family portrait done – now if I could get some photos hung. Ha.

Michelle is motivated to keep her shop, purchases will do that to a girl it seems.  She sees the money accumulating, with very little work on her part, and that’s enough motivation for her.

Restaurants – check.  Should have made that number larger.  Or maybe this means we can go back to eating at Waffle House every week.  Heh.

There are some other items on the list that are CLOSE to being complete.  I’m looking forward to those.

Only 696 days left.  A lifetime!

Daily Dose of Life – 101 Update

Since September is about survival around here I didn’t expect to scratch many items off the list.

Which is good, because I didn’t.  I read more non-fiction books (I’m actually surprised by how many I read.  I didn’t think I read many, which is why that was on the list in the first place.)  I cleaned out my feeds and I’m about to update my blogrolls (I tweaked the code yesterday and then forget to actually add it to the blog, silly me).

I expect next month will be a more successful month of crossing things off.  But I need to figure out how to define some of those list items first. For instance, what does it mean to take a "real day off"?  I’m not sure I know – which is weird and troubling.  Do you know what it means to take a real day off from work?

TGIOctober.

Daily Dose of Life – 101 Update

It’s that time again, time for the 101 things in 1001 days update. Not so hot, really. Lots of books were read, classics and non-fiction (thank goodness for the Summer Reading Challenge). The freezer was defrosted and cleaned, accidentally really. Chris somehow unplugged the thing so the little bit of food that was in there got defrosted, which led to total cleaning. I guess I should thank him, shouldn’t I?

Onto September…

Daily Dose of Life – 101 Update

Busy month for the 101 things in 1001 days list. Five more classics down, more birthday cards sent to family members. Blogroll cleaning, feed cleaning, closet cleaning and I’m sooo close to having that garage cleaning thing done… so close, but no cigar. Donated money to bloggers in the blogathon. Almost have my WLC templates finished and a system for keeping them up from here on in, (not that I’ll use them but ya never know when they might come in handy). Blogher, off the list. Busy, busy, busy month.

Daily Dose of Life – 101 Things Update

July has arrived and that means it is time to review.  June was a much busier month for my 101 things. That’s good because May’s inactivity made it seem like I might as well give up on this idea completely.

The biggest and most important accomplishment – I READ THE MOONSTONE! FINALLY!  And I lived to tell about it!  I can die tomorrow with the list unfinished and be happy!

The blogroll got another update – I’m doing ok with this once a month update thing.  It’s still not a good solution, but it’s at least a solution.

I tried to call my brother…. doesn’t that count for something?  OK fine, I will try again and succeed before I add a little "1" to the list.  You people are tough.

Lots of new restaurants, I need to look back over the month and count them.  Lots of non-fiction and some audio books, too.  Again, I need to count those and update.  Did we go to a museum? It seems like we might have but, ummm I should have reviewed my calendar and my blogs before starting this update, eh?

We took the kids to St Augustine and do you think the Coral Castle is an unusual roadside attraction? I’m thinking it is.

July looks like it will be another good month for the 101 list, knock on wood.

How is your list coming?  Link me so I can go peek!
