The economy sucks, everyone knows it. Watching the presidential debate, it wasn't surprising that it was a main topic – everyone seems to be struggling. Being a stay at home mom can be difficult. My husband makes excellent money, but a single income limits you in so many ways and I do live in one of the most expensive areas of america, Silicon Valley.

I was in Washington, DC the weekend of the first presidential debate and the beginning of the Great Bail-out of 2008. I was there to promote a book, but it was impossible to ignore the tension in the city tasked with saving Americans from themselves.

I have been online in one way or another since 1990. I had a website in 1995 and started blogging shortly after that. (Of course, back in the '90's it was referred to as online journaling.) The gift that online writing gave me was invaluable to me when my children were young. I found my salvation during those sleepless nights and never-ending days through online communities.

The candidates have a major difference in their leadership styles: McCain tends to say, “Follow me because the other guy can’t get it done” while Obama says, “Follow me because I can get it done.” Ideally, the candidates should say, “Follow me because i will help you get it done” … in any case, of the two of them Obama demonstrates a better leadership mentality
