I’ve been saving this What we’re taking list of Lee and Sachi’s for days now. It’s interesting to think about what to pack on a year long trip around the world. And it’s even more interesting to peek at someone else’s list. Go ahead, give it a click. It’s sort of fascinating, isn’t it?
I’m a light packer and I like that they’ve gone pretty light (except for all of the technology and medication – I’d go half on all of that). I keep going back to the underwear (especially since they’ve vowed never to wear dirty underwear for more than 5 days) and the socks. Especially the socks. There is nothing worse than wet socks except of course dirty, wet socks. I think they need to ditch all of that deodorant and each take at least one more pair of socks.

And welcome to Typepad, there are a few bugs on occasion, but I think you will like it a lot. It looks like you have a better handle on how to use it than I do!
Only 3 or 4 pairs of underwear??? I take more than that when I pack for a WEEKEND.
I’ve had typepad for awhile, with my other blogs so there wasn’t much learning curve when I moved the Daily Dose. Of course I’ve still got you on it, duh! 😉
Sassymonkey – I believe you probably wear 3-4 pair a day when you’re in the comforto of your own home. Your standards are a wee bit extreme, lol. But I, a woman who wears NO underwear, feel like this is not enough for Lee and Sachi…. I’m worried!
I occassionally will wear two pairs in the course of a day. But that’s only if I shower later in the day, if a certain pair ceases to be comfortable, or if I change my outfit and then underwear just isn’t right (I dont like underwear lines).
I sometimes wear none. But it’s a bit to bloody cold for that sort of thing here right now.
Okay –this is a HUGE dilemma of mine everytiem I travel.. well anywhere.
I am a huge shoe ho. Mainly boots, but shoes are something I buy like Starbucks. And then of course you can’t own shoes without wanting to share them with the world — where ever that maybe.
Hence the dilemma. I go places I have to take a hobo bag(aka purse), a computer bag, a clothes bag and a shoe bag… on and a skin care bag.
And now, I have digusted myself with all the high maintenance crap I have.
I think what I need is just a huge bag and resign myself to checking it. Pray it makes it. Oh, and not worrying how much crap (read shoes) are in it.
I do the shoe thing too. I need to pack at least two pairs if going away for the weekend. Sometimes more…
