Best Friends Forever

I boycotted Jennifer Weiner for a couple of years. I thought I was going to stick with my boycott but TW said Best Friends Forever was good – really good. So I broke down and read it.

It was good. Jennifer Weiner chick litty – good. I liked Addie. I didn’t particularly like Val but I didn’t hate her either. I would like to know more about Merry…. Maybe she needs a book of her own?

  1. I’m reading this now. Pretty much smack in the middle of it. I’m glad to hear that Merry is going to become a larger player than I can see right now.

  2. When I want to read chick lit but don’t want to seem too frivolous, I read Maeve Binchy and pretend it’s multicultural since her stuff is set in Ireland!

  3. I thought her previous book Certain Girls was very dreary. I loved In her Shoes and then binge read a few other of her books like Good in Bed, Little Earthquakes, about 4 years ago. Glad to hear her new book is back on form.
