I’m not a fan of “pink ribbons” and I’m not a huge fan of breast self-exam propaganda either. But it is October and I am a fan of breasts. So watch this Canadian video and tell me if you think it’s a fantastic community service spot – or if it’s ummm not fantastic. And then feel free to tell me how you feel about pink ribbons and breast self exam propoaanda.

Ick! Fantastic? Not so much.
I love the spot–but I have a soft spot for anything that can make humor out of the very serious business of cancer and prevention. As for the breast self-examination propaganda…I sort of get the feeling sometimes that it’s main purpose is to shift the responsibility of detecting breast cancer away from the medical community and onto the individual. But then again I have a pretty healthy distrust of the American medical community as a whole. Thanks for posting this.
