Cupcake Toppers

These bird candle holders are a little different from my usual cupcake topper ideas. I like them. I think RJ would really like them. Since I have missed RJ even more over the last 10 days than I normally do, it seemed fitting to suggest them.

Since it’s banana split weekend, why not top your cupcakes with ice cream – or bananas! You can find miniature banana splits and sundaes at places that stock dollhouse furniture (but check eBay first because it’s often cheaper). An eBay seller has a zillion mini plastic bananas for cheap (well cheap if you need a zillion of them)! Did you know you could buy banana runts?

In honor of all of those Halo freaks (yea I’m talking about “The Jockey”) how about some cupcakes in celebration? Halo Minfigs would be perfect. Maybe you’re a warthog fan though?

I don’t have a graduate this year but Rory! She graduated from Yale! I would totally make her cupcakes if she wanted me to. And I would have great cupcake toppers on them. Like these minis or mortarboard picks or diploma picks. My favorite, obviously would be the smielys but the bobbleheads a close second, particularly for Rory!

The picks featured are sold out – that’s the problem with Mother’s Day – you have to shop early or stuff sells out and then all you’re left with are silly things like bonnets or shoes and makeup or mom in a bikini. Oh wait, the bonnets are also sold out. Weird. Happy Mother’s Day anyway – and for those who need it, burn a bit of sage just in case.

Happy Nurse’s Week!

In celebration, make your favorite nursing staff a batch of cupcakes and decorate them accordingly: mini bear baby nurse, nursing wine glass charms, nursing charm bracelet charms and of course the I Love Nursing Button.

Here’s a cupcake topper for a holiday you might not normally celebrate. It’s also a great cupcake topper for kids who LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to do hair. Which means all kids under the age of 10 and an awful lot of kids over that age as well.

Happy Hair Stylist Appreciation Day (officially not ’til Monday so you have time to bake some cupcakes, top them appropriately and take them to your salon)

Just run over to your favorite Barbie supply store and grab the “hair care accessories” package. You might get lucky and find the knock off types at a dollar store so don’t overlook that if there’s one near you. If you want to do this for a kid, and not for Monday, then go to ebay and surf for barbie hair accessories. CHEAP and EASY!

Happy Earth Day! I know, I’m a wee bit early but since communities all over the world seem to celebrate on dates other than the official Earth Day, I can do it too. Especially since I’ll be traveling on Earth Day and won’t have time to do a real Earth Day post. Earth balls come in a variety of styles and would look darn cute on a cupcake. cupcake. If trees are your thing, check out model railroad supplies for some trees to top a cupcake. And of course, there are flower rings to encourage folks to get out and plant a garden.

I don’t feel so hot and TW is in the middle of a nice little flare. None of this leads to a nice post about cupcake toppers. I was tempted to suggest fake vomit (looks real so if you vomit when you see vomit, don’t click) topped cupcakes but they’re 5″ which is too big for a cupcake. Maybe you can cut them down to size? What about already chewed gum, I feel a bit like chewed gum must feel right now. Instead, I’ll just go with the simple mini-vehicles cupcake topper – because I do feel like a truck hit me.
