So I was in this conference call with a bunch of people tonight and one of those people was sassymonkey. Can I just say she sounds different on the phone than she does in real life. Luckily she has that Canadian tone to her voice, and she was talking about stuff that I knew immediately only SHE would think to bring up. That is probably the only reason I knew it was her! Weird.
Do I sound different on the phone? TW does and I’m sure people call her at work just to hear her phone voice.
I don’t know – it’s at least a year since I heard your voice on the phone (or on teh Skypes, same difference) and when hearing the “real deal” a few months back, I wasn’t aware of a disconnect, a la “she sounds different in real life”. So, I suspect not.
Me, however – I hope I *do* sound different on the phone – I wish I didn’t (because the phone really ruins my voice) but, since it does, I really hope my in person voice isn’t as bad. More than once have I considered never using the phone again, for that very reason.
I sound like I’m about 12 on the phone. Which isn’t really the greatest thing when you work from home and communicate a lot on the phone.
I’m trying to remember…have we really spoken on the phone before? hmmmm… And I don’t think I’m the *only* person who would have mentioned some of those. Ok fine, the postal code thing yeah.
I had a hard time picking out your voice in the beginning of the call but much less towards the end.
