It’s stuff like this that makes me very glad I never worked in the restaurant industry. I also am reminded of how lucky my kids have been to have not had more injuries at work. Of course Chris had that really “odd thing” happen and that was even worse, in a lot of ways, than this burn of Michelle’s. But that’s just weirdness and if you have no idea what I’m talking about – you obviously don’t read all of my blogs.
Anyway, Michelle got this burn on Thursday. I picked her up from work and was on the phone in a conference call and she was trying to show me her arm and I was only barely paying attention because, I was on the phone – and driving. Later that night, she asked for some ointment for it or something and I saw it was a little pink. This photo is what it looks like today.
It didn’t stop her from enjoying her Friday evening but I wonder how in the world she’s going to manage to work tomorrow. It’s really hard to bend her arm because of the location of the burn.
Wow, was that a steam or grease burn? Whatever it is, it looks horribly painful and in a really sensitive area, too. I hope she feels better…pure aloe vera might help some.
Oh, my goodness! Ouch. 🙁
heh, J shows me her new kitchen burns every day…it’s a little ritual we like to share, LOL….that one does look potentially nasty…tell her to keep an eye on it and don’t let any blisters burst! restaurants are the WORST for accidents, J has some scary stories
Oh boy that looks painfull. Reminds me of the burns both kids got working in the fast food industry.
Ouch, poor baby. Something did a pretty good number on her. It doesn’t look like she has any blisters…that’s when she needs to pay close attention so she doesn’t get any infections from an open blister. I guess all you can do is keep ointment on it and hope she’s not too uncomfortable. Sending ((((((((((Healing Hugs)))))))))))
Oh my goddess, what did she do to herself? Are there blisters? That looks awful!
Ouch! Poor girl Worker’s comp!!!!
Ummm…I meant, “Poor girl. Worker’s comp!” Ambiguity…gotta love it.
