We’ve been watching this “thing” grow in our backyard for a few days now. It was pretty small when we noticed it, “normal” mushroom size and then suddenly, it wasn’t small. It was big. Really big. And it just keeps getting bigger!
TW suggested the construction workers might be playing a trick on us and just bringing a new, bigger white rock over to the yard every day. (Yes, I know she needs psychiatric help.) Finally she went over and touched it and I went over and touched it. Firm! Yet soft! Fascinating.
How big will it get? And just WTF is it?
A giant puffball?? Should we eat it?

Alien pod!
This is pretty amazing.
I wonder how big it will get.
IMO there is an ant at the bottom of that, one who chewed on some gum.
Now her other ant-friends are glumly calling her a show off.
To eat or not to eat, that is the question. I wouldn’t eat it, I’d find someone else and make them eat it and then watch.
It looks like some kind of egg. Do you have any strange feathered creatures roaming around Denise? Very interesting!! Keep us updated…..but keep your distance. I’ve seen those sci-fi movies…
This is a puffball and is yummy!! Don’t let it go “too” long before picking.
