Happy Pie Day! RJ wanted a pie for her class Pie Day celebration so some lemon creme pie was made over the weekend as a trial run. All three small children seemed to like it quite a bit. I tried a piece last night and it wasn’t too shabby – the fact that I tried it at all is a big deal because I don’t like pie. The fact that I said it wasn’t too shabby is a really big deal because I DON’T LIKE PIE!
Want the recipe so you can celebrate Pie Day with us? ***edited to add…*** Sassymonkey Eats Pie
I’m very tempted to say yes but I likely wouldn’t make the pie because then I’d have to eat it all. And I don’t do that.
But I think I may need to blog about pie after work.
Isn’t it pi day? Although I’d be much more excited to celebrate pies, lemon is one of my favorite, especially with meringue, or banana cream, or chocolate. I’m so missing Marie Callendars.-
Yes but it’s more fun to celebrate PIE than PI lol duh. I hate math is too often said around here.
Too true, on both counts. The only thing I know about pi is life of and 3.14 whatever that is. Graham cracker crust? Whip cream on top?
Life of was over-rated, in my opinion. I’ve never really used 3.14 for anything in real life so ummm let’s just stick with graham cracker crust and stuff. No whip cream. This was apparently a lemon cream cheese pie. I was corrected shortly after I posted. I don’t bake these things, I just clean up after them… things I cleaned up were butter, lemons, cream cheese wrappers, cornstarch. I have no idea what else is in the pie, those are the things that were left on the counter.
