I’m thinking we did not buy enough Billy bookshelves when we went to IKEA.
I’m thinking our copy of Valencia has disappeared, possibly into the hands of one of Chris’s former girlfriends.
I’m thinking about the difference between public and private info.
I’m thinking that I feel like I was hit by a train – or had a glass of red wine – though neither has happened.
I’m thinking TW should not say negative things about The Female Eunuch to Michelle Belle.
I’m thinking it is nap time.

I do love it when people live blog conferences that I cannot attend. I particularly appreciated the liveblogging of Elisa’s keynote.

Anyone with a lick of gaydar already knew it was Dumbledore who was gay. Nice to hear Rowling say it out loud, though.
She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds “true love.”
“Dumbledore is gay,” the author responded to gasps and applause.
She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. “Falling in love can blind us to an extent,” Rowling said of Dumbledore’s feelings, adding that Dumbledore was “horribly, terribly let down.”
Duh, of course he’s gay Read More »
TW and RJ left early this morning for their weekend at the Happiest Place On Earth. It’s very quiet here, with just me and the still sleeping Prince and the mostly sleeping dogs, cats, rat, turtles (wait, I don’t believe the turtles actually sleep) and bird.
I’m making use of the quiet to catch up on my inbox and my feeds. I keep seeing things I want to share with TW or comment about to TW. So every now and then I start to think “OK I’m going to send her an email about this stuff” (like she won’t have enough to read tonight when she gets back to the hotel room.)
But, here’s the weird thing, every time I start to think about sending her an email – she calls me. (Or she has RJ call me.) That’s nice but instead of talking about my feeds or email or blog comments or her message boards, we talk about the weather or the rest stops or the exit ramps at I4. I could still send her that email but every time she calls, it causes me to forget whatever it was I was going to tell her in the first place.
Weird, right?
But more than 4 million uniques a month for BlogHer and just shy of 1000 bloggers in the BlogHer Ad Network, well, those are numbers that I can’t help but smile about.

How much longer will this fascination with pirates and Pirates of the Caribbean continue? Will Turner et al on a cupcake. Okey dokey. It would cost you a zillion dollars to buy enough of these figures for a dozen cupcakes but kids would like them, so it’s worth it, right? These pirate action figures might be a better idea. I’d rather have Jack Sparrow Minifigs but they sure don’t look like Johnny Depp, do they?

I can’t remember how I stumbled upon Kilt Dead – is it written by the author who did that Garden Spells book? Or maybe that tea shop in Charleston mystery? Whatever. I know I reserved it because I was amused by the title, that’s a great way to choose a book, right?
It’s a great title but not a great book. Not a bad book, either. Just what you’d expect. A little chick lit. A little mystery.
